Meet the team

Hannah and Mat are the team behind Pēpi Pools. Mum and Dad to three beautiful boys, they noticed a distinct lack of accessible resources for expectant mamas in Dunedin. 

Hannah’s journey began when she recognised the transformative power of water during her home birth with their second son. Home births are a choice that require careful preparation and Pēpi Pools provides mothers with a sense of reassurance and comfort.

 

Pēpi Pools is a well recognised name in the birthing world in NZ and they offer a lifeline for expectant mamas seeking the serenity of a home birth.  Our birth pools are often also hired by expectant mamas with the view of using water to help their labour progress in a positive way at home, before later making the transition to hospital.

Hannah is very passionate about ensuring women feel empowered wherever they chose to give birth and believes the services she offers can help enable women to embrace the natural beauty of the birthing process.
