Pēpi Pool’s Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.  Please note, these terms and conditions may be altered/changed periodically

You must seek medical advice from your LMC prior to using the birth pool and/or the TENS Pēpi Pools and our equipment does not replace medical advice/information

Pēpi Pools accepts no responsibility for injury, accident, damage or death to property/persons relating to the use or misuse of any products provided by Pēpi Pools including our birth pools and TENS

Pēpi Pool’s cannot guarantee the effectiveness of the birth pool and TENs machine for pain relief during labour

A refund will not be offered if the birth pool/TENs is not used

Pets and children must not play in/around the pool

You must check your hire items upon arrival.  You must notify us of any issues with your order no more than 48 hours after receiving it.  Any issues with item(s) should be discussed with Pēpi Pools immediately.  We accept no responsibility for any issues, if you fail to do so

The customer should make themselves familiar with the instruction manual provided for both the birth pool and TENS

Terms and Conditions for Birth Pool and TENS hire

Birth Pool Hire

A $50 non refundable deposit is included in the overall hire price of the birth pools.  Orders may be cancelled by the customer at any time prior to shipping, and if this is done, a refund will be made to the customer, less the $50 deposit.  We cannot offer refunds once the birth pool has been shipped.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

In making a booking with Pēpi Pools, the customer is agreeing to:

Only use the birth pool indoors, on a smooth and/or carpeted surface.  It must not be used on rough surfaces as this may lead to punctures.  We recommend using a blanket or similar under the pool to reduce the chance of punctures

Sharp objects must not be used in or around the pool (knives, jewellery etc)

Heating elements must not be used in the pool

The pool must not be over inflated, as this can cause them to split or bust at the seams.  The pool must only be inflated with the pump provided by Pēpi Pools and must never be inflated with a compressor or high pressure pump

Children and pets must not play in the pool

The pool must not be used without the provided pool liner

Hot water MUST NOT be added to an empty pool – this can cause damage to the pool

The hoses provided by Pēpi Pools for filling the pool must not be used for emptying the pools, this is for hygiene reasons.  Please contact Pēpi Pools for alternative options

You will need to dry and repack the pool as per the instructions provided

Additional charges may apply if:

The pool is returned wet/damaged/unclean

There are items missing upon return

You have used the filling hose to empty the pool

You have used the pool without the liner provided

TENS hire

A booking fee of $20 is included in the cost of hiring a TENS.  These bookings are able to be cancelled at any time prior to shipping, and in this instance, the customer will receive a refund, less the $20 booking fee.  Once the item has been shipped, no refunds are able to be given.

Please note, Pēpi Pools does not take any responsibility for harm or injury caused by the misuse of any of our products.

By hiring a TENS, the customer is agreeing to:

Not use the TENS in, or close to water

Return the TENS and the full contents of its kit – battery, boost button, lead, wires.  The used electrode pads should not be returned.

TENS must never be used by anyone with any type of heart condition, anyone who suffers from epilepsy or has a pace maker.  It is recommended that you speak to a healthcare professional should you have any concerns regarding the use of TENS – this is your responsibility

TENS should not be used prior to 37 weeks pregnant

TENS should never be used on broken skin, or open wounds.  They should only be used on each side of the spine, never directly on the spine, face, head, neck, genitals, chest and they should never be used while driving any type of vehicle

They must be kept out of reach of children and must be used with caution

Return delivery

Birth pools and TENS must be returned to Pēpi Pools as soon as possible after use.  This can be done by emailing Hannah at [email protected] to organise a courier collection.

Any items missing or damaged on return delivery will be charged to the customer
